Supreme Court: We're hopeful of Oborevwori's victory - Delta Connect Global

 

Delta Connect Global has expressed confidence that the Supreme court’s judgement of October 21, will be in favour of Rt. Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori and urged Deltans to be expectant of  More developmental strides in all sectors of the society, under the Sheriff administration from May 29th 2023.

The group through its publicity secretary, Mrs Ejiro Agofure expressed solidarity with the PDP Governorship Candidate adding that, "we are in solidarity with the Delta state PDP Governorship candidate for the 2023 general elections".

"We believe the supreme court will tow the path of the appeal court, in reaffirming the majority decision of the party’s delegates that voted overwhelmingly for Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori Francis during the primary elections earlier this year. 

"Nigeria is a democratic nation, and only by a majority consensus decision can a leader emerge, there is no provision for a back door access,  except on rare occasions when the reason is obvious in the eyes of the law," she stated.

The national Cordinator, Vincent Udume Odogbor, however, stated that the judiciary has lived up to the occasion, following the ruling of the appeal court that upheld Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori Francis as the validly nominated candidate.

"We are hopeful the supreme court will maintain the same sound reasoning of the law in it’s ruling.
"What Deltans need now, is a candidate with a pan-Delta credentials. Someone who understands the plights of Deltans and the peculiar development plan to tackle them headlong.

"The socio-economic, human capital, education, health-care infrastructure upgrade/ development, and security architecture needs strengthening.

"This upheaval task requires one with the adequate experience and expertise to drive the process and Rt Hon Sheriff posses this quality of leadership and should be supported by all well meaning Deltans at all levels," he stated.

He further said, "Leadership is a manifold task and the hallmark of it, is people centric. Sheriff is a people’s man. He listens, he acts and very much responsive to whatever concerns the people.

"It’s our earnest prayers that God Almighty will give him victory at the supreme court this Friday. We believe Deltans will be good for it.

Also speaking Hon Keyness Orhodje Oromoni, maintained that the best man for the job is Rt Hon Sheriff who he described as très terre à terre.

"We are confident in his ability and experience and we believe the supreme court will act accordingly on the strength of the case before them,"
