How YAGEP grew my business - Muyiwa ~ Truth Reporters

By Ese Laura Oghene

Mebaghanje Muyiwa is the CEO of Finger Integrated Farm. She hails from Warri South Local Government Area. She studied Business Administration and enrolled into the Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Programme (YAGEP) in the 2019/2020 cycle as a Brown YAGEPreneur in Piggery. She shares her story.

‘’I was into pig farming for three years, but my business was not growing because I had challenges like feeding the pigs. I enrolled into Brown YAGEP and God used the programme to grow and expand my business.

Three years after establishment, I have grown from having 10 pigs in three pens to having 25 pigs in 10 pens. I now feed them without stress.

I have made lots of sales. I save ₦150,000 whenever I sell my pigs. I have one employee. I am married with children and I conveniently support my family.

I have diversified into pawpaw farming on a rented plot of land. People buy pawpaw from me on a daily basis. I wish to acquire personal land for expansion. I thank God and the state government for the opportunity and for helping my business to grow.
