Delta COMAN celebrates 15th anniversary, extol Okowa ~ Truth Reporters

 






The Comedians and Master of Ceremony Association of Nigeria, COMAN, Delta Chapter yesterday celebrated its 15th year anniversary with a call on governments at all levels to adequately support the creative sector just as Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has been doing. 


The group lauded Okowa and expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for the support he has shown to the entertainment industry ranging from the inclusion of entertainers in policymaking through appointments into relevant offices. 


Speaking on behalf of members of the association, on Thursday at Wetland Hotel, Udu, the State COMAN Chairman, Comr. Paul Krima, a.k.a Mc Okoloko Papa, thanked the Governor for the construction of the Film Village and Leisure park in Asaba as a means of providing an enabling environment for creativity and also identifying with the programmes of the association. 


Governor Okowa who was represented at event which held at the  by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism; Engr. Lawrence Ejiofor, restated his renewed resolve to invest in the development of the entertainment sector. 


The highlight of the event was the presentation of a portrait of the Governor by the Executives of the Association and the unveiling/launch of the association magazine. 


Also present at the event included the State Commissioner for Youth Development, Comr. Ifeanyi Egwunyenga and a host of other dignitaries.
