Ukodhiko, unifying Isoko for progress ~ Truth Reporters
By Ajiri-Oghene Oreh
Yesterday Thursday, June 2, again, to me was a reaffirmation of my views of Pastor Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko as among the few Nigerian politicians who has not and, I am sure, will not embrace lies as statecraft.
He has a good mindset! Yes, the mind of Pastor Ukodhiko for the people of Isoko Federal Constituency he seeks to represent at the House of Representatives in Abuja is good, very good!
At the Thursday meeting with his aides drawn from Isoko South and Isoko North Local Government Areas that make up the larger Federal Constituency, he, again, reaffirmed his utter commitment and unwavering dedication towards a united and a stronger Isoko nation.
For him, every of his thoughts, schemes or actions would be steeped in ensuring, promoting and fostering fellow feeling, brotherliness and unity among the people of Isoko ethnic nationality.
I recall, during the course of his consultative visits to leaders, stakeholders and delegates just before the primary election, the phrase, “Ukodhiko, unifying Isoko for progress “ became an instant popular, trending song in mouths of the people who sustained and motivated him with their support, goodwill and prayers.
Undoubtedly, Pastor Ukodhiko is a man of palpable humility which makes him a good listener and enables him to feel more intensely the pulse of the people he passionately wants to represent at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly in Abuja. Also, he has a high sense of responsibility.
And yes, the PDP candidate has initiated and began moves towards unifying Isoko by engaging critical stakeholders and fellow contestants with a view of promoting unity and development of the Isoko homeland. This is a commendable effort by him, and it speaks volume of the pure intent and intentions of Pastor Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko.
The task before and on Ukodhiko is both arduous and herculean. It is daunting. However, Engr Jonathan Ukodhiko has always been a courageous and a remarkably brilliant person who over the decades, has weathered many storms and bestrode the world of business and politics.
Again, what is imperative for Ukodhiko now, is his ardent desire to unite Isoko Federal Constituency culturally, socially and politically. To this, he is irrevocably committed to do and he is positively determined to achieve.
A passionate appeal to the people of Isoko Federal Constituency is simple; let’s put aside our differences, close ranks, and rally support for Jonathan Ukodhiko as we approach the 2023 general election in order for him to actualise his vision in the House of Representatives, which is, to give us, Isoko Federal Constituency, quality representation and re-position Isoko in mainstream and national politics and ensure that as a people, we enjoy a fair deal in the Nigerian Project.
Truly, Ukodhiko has a good vision. He is on a mission, and he has envisioned policies and programmes of actions that will not only make the nation’s democracy more stronger but make our lives more meaningful through abundant delivering of the dividends of democracy to the people of Isoko Federal Constituency.
For now, let’s unite, and give him all the support he needs to succeed for the good of all. Okugbe Isoko!
