IDU Congratulates Ukodhiko ~ Truth Reporters

The socio-cultural umbrella body of the Isoko people, dubbed IDU, under the leadership of Professor Chris Akpotu led executives has congratulated Hon. Pastor (Engr.) Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, on his well deserved victory in the just concluded HOR primary elections, Isoko Federal constituency. 


The IDU President while delivering the congratulatory message, said Pastor Ukodhiko is a humble man and a staunch Isoko patriot, who is bent on unifying Isoko for a stronger voice in national discourse. 


"Your emergence as the candidate of the PDP, in the just concluded HOR primary election, Isoko Federal constituency, is a testament that God still answer prayers. 


"Prior to the date of the primary election for the HOR, we have been praying to God to give us a representative that will unite and bring development to us, and God answered our prayers by giving you victory" 


"On behalf of myself and the entire members of the Isoko Development Union, IDU, we congratulate you on your well deserved victory at the HOR primary election, Isoko Federal constituency. 


Responding, Ukodhiko thanked the IDU President and his entire exco members for coming to share in his joy. 


He noted that IDU is the only central leadership structure of the Isoko people and as such, must be respected and given deep reverence by all well meaning isoko sons and daughters, regardless of their political position or level of wealth. 


"I want to reassure you that, I will continue to partner, support and work with IDU, in order to bring more developmental projects to Isoko. 


"I do not see myself as leader sir, but more of a voice to my people. it is on this premise that I have taken it upon myself to give my people effective and selfless representation if I am voted for in the general elections; which is the true definition of representation. 


"I want to seize this opportunity to appeal to IDU and all Isoko people to support PDP in the general elections, to enable our great party, PDP emerge as overall winner in the general elections. 


Pastor Ukodhiko, promised to meet with IDU quarterly for briefing and to also consult with them before critical decisions regarding the distribution of constituency projects will be taken. 


The IDU delegation was led by the President, Prof. Chris Akpotu, accompanied by other exco members which include the 1st vice president, Chief Desmond Ogbaudu, 2nd vice, Chief Dan Odhomor, among others.
