IDU congratulates Okoro on doctoral degree ~ Truth Reporters

The Asaba branch of Isoko Development Union (IDU), on Wednesday, congratulated the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural and Community Development, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, PhD, on his Award of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Public Administration from the prestigious University of Benin.
Congratulating Dr. Okoro in his office in Asaba, President of the Union, Mr. Karo Ovemeso, said the latest feather added to the Pioneer Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly by the Senate of the University of Benin is well deserved, and it has demonstrated to the world that education remains the most critical element for human development.
Mr Ovemeso, going further, noted that the union embarked on the visit to also familiarize with the Special Adviser and condole him over the demise of his late mother, Mrs Angelina Okoro.
“Mr Speaker, our leader, on behalf of my family and the entire members of Isoko Development Union Asaba branch, I wish to congratulate you on the latest feather added to you by the University of Benin.
"The result of your higher degree examination and the subsequent Award of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Public Administration is a true reflection of your quest for excellence in education and your enviable achievements as a noble man and a great leader in Delta State.
"The importance of education to the development of any nation cannot be over emphasised as education remains the most critical element for human development.
"Indeed, today is a great day for you, the entire Isoko nation and Delta State at large. We believe that His Excellency the Governor is very proud of you, even as we are. Your love for your people, particularly our culture is second to none.
"As a Union, since we were elected, this is our first official visit to you as our leader, so we are very much here to familiarize with you, and also to extend our condolences to you and your family over the loss of your beloved mother, Mrs Angelina Okoro, who died at the ripped age of 83.
"We appreciate you for accepting us as your own, and for showing us your love and kindness that made you to become the Pioneer Speaker of this State and one of the youngest in your time across Nigeria. Because you've continued to lead with a pure heart, God has made you to be in all successive government of the state, and we pray he continue to bless and keep you in good health", Ovemeso said.
In response, Dr. Okoro, gave thanks to God, before thanking the group for their show of love towards him and his family.
He also commended the group for their spirit of oneness, which has brought them thus far, and pledged his unwavering support for the growth of the union.
