Ozoro monarch emerges TROMPCON Chairman in Delta ~ Truth Reporters

Traditional Rulers of Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria ( TROMPCON), Delta State Chapter, have elected a new executive committee to pilot its affairs for the next two years.


The election took place at the palace of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, GRA, Effurun, in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.


The elected members of the new executive committee included HRM ( Barr) Anthony Ogbogbo, Ibuka 1, the Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom as Chairman; HRM Inawai of Onya Kingdom,  1st Vice Chairman; HRM Bosu Dio (JP) Ayamabulou, the Ebenanawei of Idowini Kingdom, 2nd Vice Chairman and HRM Rotarian Noble Eshemitan, the Ovie of Oghara Kingdom, 3rd Vice Chairman.

 

Others were HRM (Dr) King Johnson Duku 11, the Orovworere of Effurun Otor Kingdom as Secretary General; HRM Barrister  Erebulu Adio 111, the Pere of Kabowei Kingdom, Legal Adviser; HRM Obi Frederick  Egbunkonye, the Igwe of Abala Kingdom, Treasurer and HRM (Dr) Idiareh, the Odiologbo of Oyede Kingdom, Financial Secretary.

 

The newly elected Chairman and Ovie of Ozoro in his acceptance speech was full of praises for his predecessor, HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso (JP) OON, Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, for his exemplary  leadership qualities and laudable achievements.


He described his taking over the mantle of leadership from the highly esteemed Uvwie monarch as climbing the Mountain Everest and appealed for his continuous advice, guidance and support, adding that "My vision is to improve on the achievements of our out gone chairman."


The Chairman Board of Trustees of the group in the state, HRM Ayemi Botu and Pere of Simbri Kingdom, who spoke before the dissolution of the former executive committee, also commended the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom for the existing peace in the Kingdom and  his achievements as chairman of the group.


The immediate past secretary of the group in the state, HRM Pere Kalanama V111 (JP), the Pere of Akugbene - Mein Kingdom, in his speech also lauded the Uvwie monarch for attracting more members to the group as the chairman, saying that Ovie had given the state chapter and the national body the hope to forge ahead.


Following the election of the Ovie of Ozoro as the Chairman, his earlier position as the National Publicity Secretary was ceded to the Pere of Akugbene - Mein Kingdom. 


High point of the event was the swearing in of the newly elected members of the executive committee  by the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Pere Ayemi Botu.


The newly elected Secretary of the group, HRM Duku 11, who spoke to newsmen at the event, appreciated members for his election and promised to give his best in his new position.
