Foundation takes free medical outreach to Delta Community ~ Truth Reporters











The Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation has carried out a free community medical outreach in Otor-Ihwreko town hall, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta.

Speaking at the event which held took place on the 2nd April 2021,
The Executive Director of the foundation, Dr. Olotu Akpodiete said the free community medical outreach was in honour of Late. Chief (Dr.) Ekuogbe R. Akpodiete, LL.M, PhD 26th year Memorial Remembrance and the right of the indigenes of the community to have access to medical consultation since the resident doctors are on strike.

The Director of Operations of the Foundation, Deacon. Ogaga Ohwojero also encouraged the members of the community to always stay healthy and go for regular check up on their health status.

Other team members of the foundation were Chief. Mrs Grace Akpodiete, Mrs Florence Enughwure, Mrs Aduvie Umoru and Ms. Onome Enughwure.

The medical team of Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation lead by Dr. Erhisere Akpomuvire, Among the free medical outreach were to check their blood pressure, sugar level, health talk and free medical consultation. Medical drugs were given to those that required them, the community leaders and indigenes prayed and appreciated the foundation.

Over hundred indigenes benefited from the community medical outreach with the theme "Securing your Health and Environment", The Executive Director, Dr. Olotu Akpodiete encouraged indigenes of the community to always do routine checkup on their health and maintain a good environment for economic development of the community.

A secured health and environment will promote economic development, he also encourages indigenes to enroll themselves with medical insurance in order for them to always have access to medical facilities.
