Ubeji, Egboko-Itsekiri, to enjoy steady power supply soon – Mayuku

 

The epileptic power supply suffered by residents of Ubeji and Egbokodo Itsekiri communities in Warri South local government area will soon be a thing of the past.

This was disclosed by the Executive Director, Projects, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon. Barr. Daniel Omayone Mayuku, while inspecting the Step Down and Upgrading of Ubeji Electricity from 11kva to 33kva with reinforcement project at Ubeji.

Mayuku noted that the project had reached 90 percent and upon completion, would help in providing at least 20 hours adequate electricity supply to Ubeji and environs.

This, he said, will greatly enhance rapid socio-economic development of the area, as it will not only encourage the establishment of small scale businesses but greatly increase the standard of living in the area.

Truth Reporters reports that the interventionist agency has inaugurated several projects across most communities in Delta to commemorate the first anniversary of the present Board of DESOPADEC.

“This step down project is dear to our heart in DESOPADEC, and we are grateful to the contractor and indigenes of Ubeji communities for their cooperation.

"This project will enhance the rapid socio-economic development of Ubeji and Egbokodo Itsekiri.

"The Board led by Hon. Prince Michael Diden have inaugurated several projects across the state to commemorate our one year in office, and I admonish you to expect more.” Mayuku stated.
