COVID-19: Delta records 18 new cases, total now 1689 ~ Truth Reporters

Delta State has recorded 18 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total infections in the state to 1689 while active cases rose to 146 on Thursday.

According to figures from the State Ministry of Health, 45 patients were discharged within the period, bringing the total number of patients succesfully treated and discharged to 1497 while 46 fatalities have so far been recorded on account of the pandemic.

Delta remains 9th among the most impacted states in Nigeria ranking behind Lagos, FCT, Oyo, Edo, Plateau, Rivers, Kaduna and Kano states. The state has so far carried out tests on 7,877 persons and has so far achieved 99 percent contact tracing success rate.
