Okowa congratulates Joe Arausi at 70 ~ Truth Reporters

Delta Governor, Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, has felicitated with the Chairman, Governing Council of the Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi-Uku, Chief Jonathan Arausi, on his 70th birt anniversary.

He congratulated Arausi for his meritorious service to Delta and his native Isokoland, especially as member of the House of Assembly in the defunct Bendel State and Chairman, Board of Directors of IC-Global Micro Finance Bank Ltd.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, the Governor rejoiced with Arausi for his diligent and entrepreneurial spirit, which saw him succeed as Chairman of the award-winning micro finance bank.

He remarked that Arausi’s outstanding leadership of the National Association of Community Bankers (NACOBS) contributed immensely to the growth of community banking at the time.

Okowa expressed belief that the investments of Chief Arausi, a member of People's Democratic Party (PDP), in the state and humanity would remain relevant, and urged him to apply his vast experience in business and politics in mentoring the youths of Delta.

“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I felicitate with an illustrious son of Delta, Chief Jonathan Arausi, on the occasion of his 70th birth anniversary.

“As Chairman of IC-Global Micro Finance Bank Limited and Quantum Securities Ltd, you deployed your vast financial and investment expertise to bear on the companies, creating employments and growing businesses across Isokoland and Delta.

“As a politician, you have remained a man of integrity, with strong convictions for the development of the people of Isoko and beyond,” he said.

Okowa joined family, friends and associates in celebrating the Oleh-born businessman and political icon, praying that the almighty God would strengthen him and grant him good health in his continued service to the state and mankind.
