Delta winning war against COVID-19, discharges 709 patients ~ Truth Reporters

Delta State has so far discharged a total of 709 patients successfully treated from COVID-19 with total confirmed cases standing at 1444.

The State active cases also dropped to 695 just as 7 new cases were recorded yesterday.

The State Ministry of Health confirmed the figures in their latest report.

This is the first time the state recorded more discharged persons than active cases signalling the fact that the State is already flattening the curve.

The state now ranks 7th among the most impacted states in Nigeria ranking behind Lagos, FCT, Oyo, Edo, Rivers and Kano states. The state has so far carried out tests on 5,955 persons and has so far achieved 99 percent contact tracing success rate.

The state also lost 40 patients on account of the pandemic.
