COVID-19: Updated: Delta records 8 fresh cases, discharges 1,303 ~ Truth Reporters

Delta State has so far discharged a total of 1303 patients successfully treated from COVID-19 with total confirmed cases standing at 1464.

The State active cases also dropped significantly to 120 just as 8 new cases were recorded yesterday.

The State Ministry of Health confirmed the figures in their latest report.

This is the first time the state recorded more discharged persons than active cases signalling the fact that the State is already flattening the curve.

The state now ranks 6th among the most impacted states in Nigeria ranking behind Lagos, FCT, Oyo, Edo and Rivers states. The state has so far carried out tests on 6,234 persons and has so far achieved 99 percent contact tracing success rate.

The state also lost 41 patients on account of the pandemic.
