BREAKING: Gunmen abduct Delta labour leader ~ Truth Reporters

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly abducted the Delta State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Goodluck Ofobruku.
Truth Reporters gathered that the labour leader was ambushed by his assailants and forcefully whisked away to an unknown destination.
The incident, according to sources, occurred on Saturday night along the Nigeria Immigration Road off the Ibusa/Asaba section of the Ughelli-Asaba Highway.
Family sources who confirmed the abduction of Ofobruku said the victim was returning home when the attack took place.
The sources claimed the abductors had yet to establish contact with neither the family of the victim nor officials of the Delta NLC.
However, the State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of Ofobruku.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who confirmed the incident, said the Delta NLC chairman was abducted at about 8pm on Saturday.
The PPRO said the State Police Command has launched a special team to track down the assailants and ensure that the victim is rescued unhurt.
“The incident happened yesterday (Saturday) evening around 8pm. We are already combing the bushes to ensure his safe release”, the Delta Police spokesperson added.
