"Celebrating Olisa Ifeajika, an 'accomplished' editor par excellence" ~ Truth Reporters

By Nelson Egware

Dear friends please join me to celebrate my boss, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, an urbane, detribalised, cerebral, seasoned, profoundly accomplished journalist and Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta.

Dear boss, i am always delighted working with you because every moment spent with you is an opportunity to learn new things.

You are an embodiment of competence, character and unassailable integrity. Your knack for excellence and devotion to duty is inspiring and worthy of emulation.

Indeed it has been a great priviledge to tap from your rich journalistic experience and administrative acumen. Words are not enough to describe what you have inculcated in me since our paths crossed on the job.

A complete gentleman and extremely happy family man, Mr Ifeajika is one man who knew so well how to cultivate friendship between the young and the old, the privileged and the vulnerable.

Over the years, you have consistently and deservedly earned the reputation of a highly distinguished member of the Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE) and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ). Indeed, you have contributed immensely to the promotion and development of journalism, and most significantly, to the grooming of journalists with intellect for almost three decades now.

I recall with hope how you pride yourself as a professional journalist just as a lawyer or medical doctor will gladly showcase their own profession.

You believe that media practice should be professionally driven and global standards upheld at all levels to give pride and honour to members of the profession.

My profound oga, as you celebrate today, may your writing skill that made your pen worthy of mention never run dry.

On this special day of your birth anniversary, on behalf of my family, i join numerous fans and admirers to celebrate a life of great accomplishments with which God has blessed you and your family.

Happy birthday boss! God bless you now and always. Amen!!!
