COVID-19: Africa Advancement Forum Postpones 2020 Global Summit ~ Truth Reporters

The Africa Advancement Forum on Thursday announced a postponement of its 2020 Global Summit earlier scheduled to hold October 16 at the prestigious London Marriott Hotel, Regent Park, London, United Kingdom.

A statement signed by the Director International Relations & Managing Board, Africa Advancement Forum, Amb. David James Egwu said the postponement became necessary in view of the Coronavirus pandemic threatening most countries of the world including United Kingdom.

He stated that the board had resolved to postpone the global event to 2021 while a new date will be communicated as soon as practicable.

He said the Forum apologises for all inconveniences caused by the postponement.

The statement reads, "After the virtual meeting of Africa Advancement Forum board of Directors , its Faculty of Mentors, and extensive consultation from the advisory board chair and her distinguished members to consider the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic.

"Following the said meeting we are compelled by the prevailing circumstance to inform the general public that the 2020 AFRICA ADVANCEMENT FORUM GLOBAL SUMMIT have been postponed to 2021 in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

"This is in line with recommendations from our public health thinktank and the World Health Organisation. A new date will be communicated as soon as possible.

"African Advancement Forum will focus all effort to support Medical related NGO's, agencies and governments across the continent of Africa in the fight to overcome the current pandemic.

"Please keep safe by staying at home and obeying respective government directives, and maintain good personal hygiene.

"Together we shall overcome this global pandemic."
