Safe Delta: Okonta commends Okowa on inauguration of 63 Brigade HQs



Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi has been commended for the successful inaguaration of the 63 Brigade Nigeria Army Headquarters Complex in Asaba.

Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Investment Programmes (SIP), Chief Isioma Okonta gave the commendation on Monday in Asaba.

Okonta who spoke to newsmen on the sidelines of the epoch event said "It's no longer news that the Delta governor has displayed unwavering committement in actions in taming the menace of killer - herders and other sundry crimes bedeviling the state.

"Penultimate week, it was donation of almost three dozens of Security Patrol Vans to security agencies while today March 2, 2020, the newly built 63 Brigade Headquarters Complex, Asaba was unveiled by the governor with the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai in attendance.

"The timely construction and inauguration of the 63 Brigade Headquarters Complex Asaba by His Excellency, Sen, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa is another affirmation of his hunger for the protection of lives and property of all Deltans.

"On behalf of the Welfare Ambassadors, staffers, enrollees and my humble self, I heartily commend our leader and governor, Sen (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa with the Stronger Delta Team on the provision of the gigantic military edifice to the Nigerian Army praying that it would hopefully lead to more responsive handling of security challenges in our dear state.

"Without mincing words, this is another attestation to the already known truth that the safety and well-being of all Deltans remain your priority-indeed, you meant well for all Deltans." Okonta said.

Chief Okonta urged all Deltans of good conscience not to relent on their unallowed support for the performing smart governor with his Stronger Delta crew assuring that Governor Okowa would finish strong.

Recall that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai had earlier paid a courtesy visit to the Governor were the SSG, Chiedu Ebie (Esq) welcomed and ushered him into the Government House, Asaba.
