Okonta condoles Alatan over death of husband ~ Truth Reporters



The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Social Investment Programme and State Coordinator of Widows Social Welfare Scheme, Elder Isioma Okonta has commiserated with Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs Flora Alanta on the death of her husband, Prophet Alex Alatan.



Elder Okonta who on Wednesday led a powerful delegation of the Social Investment Ambassadors to Benin City, Edo State paid a condolence visit on the Commissioner who doubles as the Coordinator Widows welfare scheme Warri North Local Government Area.


Okonta while praying, asked God Almighty to grant Mrs Alatan and the entire Alatan family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, urged the Commissioner to take solace in the fact that her husband lived a worthy life.



Speaking during the visit, Okonta said, "the news of the passing of your beloved husband came to us like a ride shock especially as he was reported to be recuperating.


"Death is the way of all mortals and we are admonished to live our lives for God as He alone can take it anytime.

"I am glad that your husband died in Christ as a man of God and it is our prayer that God will grant you and the entire family as well as his flock the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss," Okonta said

He prayed that God should grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.

In a brief remark, Mrs Alatan thanked the delegation for the visit and called for prayers for the family to survive the trying times.

Elder Okonta was accompanied on the solemn visit by Dr Emmanuel Mafiana, Executive Assistant to the Governor and the Delta North Supervisor, Widows Social Welfare Scheme, Amb. Comrade Hope George SSA Political and Assistant Coordinator Delta South Senatorial District and other ad-hoc staff of the Social Investment platform.

Highlights of the visit was the signing of the condolence register by the Social Investment boss, Elder Isioma Okonta.
