High expectations as Egwunyenga assumes duty as Delsu VC ~ Truth Reporters

The University community of Abraka in Ethiope East local government area of Delta State was on November 1, 2019, thrown into a frenzy of celebrations as Governor Ifeanyi Okowa approved the appointment of Professor Andy Ogochukwu Egwunyenga as the new Vice Chancellor of the Delta State University Abraka.

The Social Media was not spared as the appointment was greeted with lots of congratulatory messages to the amiable and erudite Professor of Parasitology and Entomology.

A renowned Public Health Consultant, Prof. Egwunyenga was formerly, Rector, Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku (2007-2011) and a former Chairman, ASUU, DELSU Chapter (2001-2005).

Prof. Egwunyenga is more handsome at heart than we even see facially. He is often described by those who know him well as a complete gentleman and more importantly a friend of all who does not discriminate.

As he assumes office today, December 1, 2019, he became the first Anioma son to become the Vice Chancellor of the 27 years old state owned university.

He is happily married to his beloved wife Prof Mrs Ebele Egwunyenga, a Professor of Educational Administration.
