Orhuwhorun Elite Forum Presents Writing Materials To Primary School Pupils ~ Truth Reporters

The Orhuwhorun Elite Forum has presented writing materials to primary school pupils in Orhuwhorun as part of their back to school support programme.

The forum comprising of professionals, business and community leaders, founded by young Orhuwhorun sons and daughters for the development of the community as well as a think-tank and advisors to Orhuwhorun Development Association (ODA) on 9/10/2019 made the presentation as the group's little way of giving back to the society.

The Acting President of the group, Comr Omoko Vincent led the Secretary, Rewa Akpojaro Okolosi and other members to five (5) Primary Schools in Orhuwhorun where writing materials were presented to the pupils.

Primary schools visited were Orhuwhorun Primary School, Dede Primary School, Palama Primary School, Okaka Primary School and Omiere Primary School.

The Heads of the various schools who spoke in their different capacities thanked the group for showing up at this time when the pupils really needed the materials the most.

"To you, it may be little but to us the teachers, our pupils and of course their parents, its more than gold. We shall not take your efforts for granted. We pray God to bless as many who contributed to see to the success of this program. We urge government officials to key into this group's goodwill to indigenes and non-indigenes of Orhuwhorun. We are proud of this group", they said.


The leader of the group, Comr. Omoko while addressing the Pupils at the various schools earlier, had urged the pupils to pay more attention to their academic work because education is the key to their becoming the professionals they have been dreaming of.

"You must make sure you are well dressed, come to school early, shun noise making and respect your teachers as well, be friend to your books", he said.

He also used the medium to appreciate the group members for the trust reposed in the leadership of the group by donating selflessly for this great project and prayed God almighty to bless them all richly beyond their expectations.

Items distributed included Notebooks, writing Pens, Pencils, Rulers, Erasers, Sharpeners and Socks.

Members present were Comr Omoko Vincent - Acting President, Mr Kelvin Salowor - P. R. O, Mr Edwin Maveruo, Mr Simon Agoda, Ovoke Jeroh Orogun and Miss Josephine Dede while the Heads of the various schools present included Mrs Winifred Eghere, Dcn. Comr. Godwin Okomitete, Rev. Mrs. Okpogo Roselyn and Mrs Esombi Mercy.
