Forum of kingdom PGs, agents of devt — Okoro ~ Truth Reporters

The Delta State Forum of Kingdom of Presidents-General have been described as a veritable medium for prompt dissemination of information and agents of development. 

Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural and Community Development, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro stated this on Thursday in Asaba when members of the Forum paid him a courtesy visit. 

He described the Forum as a veritable medium for prompt dissemination of information and agents of development in their various communities. 

"The Governor is aware of your contributions as agents of development and medium of information communication to the people at the grassroots. 

"He so much appreciates all your efforts before during and after the elections that is we are here today as agents of government that interface with the Presidents-General of the various clans and communities across the state to see that your expectations are met.

“Your visit is in the right direction because Governor Okowa is very passionate about taking development to the communities in the state no matter their location.

"In his first term he constructed several roads across the three Senatorial districts, built and renovated schools, revamped technical colleges for the purpose of skill acquisitions and established the Job creation office which he has used tremendously in the empowerment of thousands of Deltans through the YAGEP, STEP and other programmes. 

"Very soon we shall be going round to meet with you to know what your people need from government and we also believe that you will project government positively before your people, tell them the truth about what our Governor is doing to change their lives," he added 

Earlier, Chairman of the Forum, Prince Igwe Nzekwe informed Hon Okoro that the group was at his office to officially present themselves and to congratulate him on his well deserved appointment. 

He added that the Forum is a group of "silent movers and performers" assuring that they will continue to partner with the government to attract development to the various communities.

The visit was witnessed by Executive Assistants and Senior Special Assistants to the Governor on Community Development amongst whom were Chief David Omoru; Chief Oviri Uto; Hon Andrew Igban; Hon Okobia Robert; Hon Emenim John; Chief Kings Daphey; Hon Prince Opuofeni and Hon Friday Orubor.
