Nwaeke, Wife Honoured as Outstanding Parents by Immaculate Conception College ~ Truth Reporters

The Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, and his wife, Mrs Mary Nwaeke, have been honoured with the Outstanding Parents Award for the 2025/2026 academic session by Immaculate Conception College (ICC), Benin City, Edo State.
The award was presented by the Principal of the all-boys Catholic college, Rev. Fr. Anthony Ekhaisomi, during the school's 2025/2026 graduation ceremony, where the couple's 16-year-old son, Michael Nosike Nkem-Nwaeke, was among the graduating students.
Presenting the award, Fr. Ekhaisomi said the recognition was in appreciation of the couple's unwavering commitment, support and contributions to the growth and development of the institution.
According to the award citation, the honour was bestowed on the Nwaekes "in recognition of your unwavering commitment, support, and contributions towards the growth and success of this College."
The Principal described the couple as exemplary parents whose dedication to the school had remained steadfast over the years.
"The Nwaekes have two sons. The first graduated from this college two years ago, while the second is among the graduating students today. They have always been available whenever the school called on them. Their commitment to academic excellence, moral development and the growth of the college has been exceptional," Fr. Ekhaisomi said.
He noted that active parental involvement remained a vital pillar in promoting academic excellence, nurturing good character and strengthening the overall development of the school community.
Also honoured during the ceremony were Dr. Peter and Mrs Cynthia Agbonrofo, as well as Mr. Mike and Mrs MaryJane Omofese, in recognition of their outstanding support and active participation in the affairs of the college.
The presentation attracted applause from parents, staff, alumni and graduating students who attended the colourful ceremony, which celebrated the achievements of the 2025/2026 graduating class.
