Delta Economic Summit: Oborevwori Administration, Most Solvent, Affirms Aniagwu ~ Truth Reporters

Ahead of the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit , Commissioner for Works ( Rural Roads ) and Public Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu , has declared that Delta State is "the most solvent and liquid in the Nigerian federation", and as such an investment destination .

Aniagwu also blasted the opposition for making "much Ado over nothing" , over the PTI Effurun incident that happened outside the precincts of the APC Delta Central Stakeholders meeting , assuring that Governor Oborevwori has ordered a full scale investigation into the remote and immediate cause, of the matter.

Briefing newsmen on Thursday July 30, 2026, are the Ministry of information Conference hall , Mr Aniagwu said  , contrary to speculations , the Delta State Economic and investments Summit 2026 , will usher in massive investments judging by the multiple investors from the diaspora and within , that have made their willingness to participate in the event .

According to Aniagwu:" But what we are confident about, is that the investors that are coming in , are coming in with the genuine intention of becoming willing investors, not portfolio investors . They are very very genuine . We are confident that , at the end of the day, companies will come in and Delta will upheave in terms of industrial and economic growth".

On the contentious issue of the incident at PTI Conference centre during the APC Delta Central stakeholders meeting , Aniagwu debunked the narrative as portrayed by the opposition as "political violence", as totally at variance with the reality on ground.

He reiterated that the Delta State Government had already ordered the security agencies , to institute a full scale investigation into the remote and immediate cause of what led to the attacks, affirming that all perpetrators, remotely or directly concerned, will be brought to justice .

Aniagwu assured journalists in Delta that contrary to speculations , Governor Oborevwori is media friendly , and will soon meet with the registered journalists under the Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ), Delta State Council .

Present at the press conference  were the functioning Permanent Secretary , Mrs Stella Macaulay , , Directors and the Delta State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ) Delta Council , Comrade Churchill Oyowe,  Chapel Chairmen from Asaba and Indigenous Correspondents, members , among others .
