Youths of Egbema Kingdom in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State have called on prominent Niger Delta youth leader, Comrade Mingo Friday Sayami Ogumaka, to contest for the newly created Delta State House of Assembly seat for Warri North Constituency II.

The appeal was made during an emergency meeting organized by the Egbema New Political Wave following the release of the Warri Federal Constituency delineation exercise results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The meeting, chaired by former President of the Egbema Youth Council Worldwide, Comrade Kelvin City Eferusuoa, described Comrade Mingo as a committed, courageous, and selfless leader whose contributions to the growth, unity, and recognition of Egbema Kingdom have remained remarkable.

Speaking during the gathering, members of the group urged Comrade Mingo to respond positively to what they described as increasing calls from youths and stakeholders across the kingdom for him to represent Warri North Constituency II in the Delta State House of Assembly.

According to the group, Comrade Mingo has over the years demonstrated unwavering commitment to advancing the interests of Egbema Kingdom while consistently advocating for the rights and welfare of its people within and beyond the Niger Delta region.

“Comrade Mingo Friday Sayami Ogumaka has continually projected the image of Egbema Kingdom through purposeful leadership, bold advocacy, and unwavering dedication to the people. His sacrifices, resilience, and passion for justice have earned him the confidence and admiration of Egbema youths,” the group stated.

The youths further noted that the creation of the new constituency presents an opportunity for quality representation and inclusive development. They also emphasized that the newly created Asigborodor and Awanba federal wards deserve the opportunity to produce representation, stressing that Comrade Mingo possesses the experience, capacity, and grassroots support needed to effectively represent the constituency.

“We strongly believe his emergence will attract purposeful leadership, increased visibility, and sustainable development to Warri North Constituency II. This is a collective call to service for the benefit of our kingdom and our people,” the statement added.

The Egbema New Political Wave also commended INEC, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, traditional rulers, political stakeholders, and youths of Egbema Kingdom for their roles and sacrifices toward the successful completion of the Warri Federal Constituency delineation exercise.

The group explained that the appeal for Comrade Mingo to contest was driven by the need for credible, people-oriented leadership and reflects the aspirations of Egbema youths for unity, progress, and effective representation.

They further appealed to political leaders, stakeholders, and youth organizations across Egbema Kingdom to support the initiative in the collective interest of the kingdom and future generations.
