Barry Gbe At 56: Andaye Celebrates An Accomplished Technocrat ~ Truth Reporters

The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has felicitated the Chief Economic Adviser to the Delta State Governor, and worthy son of Bomadi, Dr. Barry Gbe, on his 56th birthday anniversary on Friday , May 15, 2026.

Hon Andaye noted that as Team Lead of the Delta State Blue Economy Technical Committee , Dr Barry Gbe's wealth of experience in economic planning, budgeting, fiscal management as well as public sector reforms , continue to provide the much needed Filip to the State government's economic policy reforms and implementation.

In his message to felicitate the Akugbene Town in Bomadi LGA born Technocrat on his 56th birth anniversary, the Bomadi Council Boss , noted that Gbe's life story is one exemplified by resilience, vision and the pursuit of excellence , such that he had served the state meritoriously as Commissioner for Economic Planning between 2019 and 2023, playing a critical role in the coordination of annual budget preparations and expenditure control, while also overseeing the collation of statistical data necessary for informed development planning .

While describing the Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor , as "a diligent and strategic leader", Hon Andaye said Gbe's impressive career progression from banking to academia , public service , policy formulation to economic planning among others, have stood him out as primus inter pares among his peers.

He added that over the years, Dr Barry Gbe has over time , demonstrated competence and capacity to deliver on responsibilities assigned to him , with humility and sense of purpose as guiding beacons of accomplishment .

Hon Andaye also recalled Gbe's appointment as Delta South representative on the Board of the State Board of Internal Revenue between 2015 and 2019, describing that era as one which significantly improved revenue generation with institutional efficiency by dint of transformative initiatives he exemplified.

The Bomadi Council Chairman eulogized the Governor's Chief Economic Adviser , for his transparent leadership, fiscal discipline , and effective policy coordination , aimed at improving governance and institutional efficiency .

Hon Andaye emphasized also, that beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr Barry Gbe is widely admired for his disciplined lifestyle, humility, intellectual depth and unwavering dedication to humanity.
