The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has described the late Chief Ojukwu Godwin Oloye as a respected figure whose life was devoted to service, unity, and humanity.

Hon. Andaye gave the tribute when he joined the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, the Prime Minister of the ancient Tuomo Kingdom, Mike Ekayoma Loyibo, the Commissioner for Housing, Godknows Angele, and other dignitaries to bid farewell to the late Chief Oloye at Oboro Community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

The event attracted notable political leaders, associates, family members, and sympathisers who gathered to honour the memory and contributions of the deceased, who was a brother to Hon. Oloye, member representing Burutu Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.

While expressing heartfelt condolences to the Oloye family and the entire Oboro community over the painful demise of their son, the Bomadi Council Chairman urged them to take solace in the impactful 60 years lived by late Chief Godwin Oloye, even as he acknowledged the pain of his untimely passing.

Highlights of the burial ceremony, which also featured cultural displays in honour of the departed statesman, included an outpouring of tributes and emotional reflections on the life and times of Chief Oloye. Family members and close associates described him as a humble, peaceful, and community-loving man whose legacy would continue to inspire generations.

The funeral ceremony further reflected the unity and solidarity among political leaders and stakeholders in the area, as dignitaries, including Hon. Alapala Ebitonmo, member representing Burutu I Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, joined the Oloye family in celebrating a life marked by peace, humility, and service.
