2027: Oweh, Esigie Endorse Ukodhiko for Re-election ~ Truth Reporters
The Chairman of the Delta State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Paul Oweh, and APC leader in Isoko South Local Government Area, High Chief Lucky Esigie, have endorsed the re-election of the member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency, Rep. Pst. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsements were made during separate consultative meetings in Oleh and Olomoro, where both leaders pledged support for his second-term bid.
Speaking during the visits, Ukodhiko said he is seeking re-election to consolidate his achievements and complete ongoing projects.
He disclosed that he has sponsored about 12 bills, which are in various stages at the House of Representatives, and two motions, while over ₦1.3 billion has been invested in constituency projects and empowerment programmes, with over ₦4 billion worth of projects and empowerment programmes awaiting funding and execution in the 2025 budget.
He highlighted interventions in education, agriculture, electricity, and healthcare, as well as a scholarship scheme supporting 10 students in professional courses at Madonna University.
Ukodhiko noted that despite funding challenges, key projects such as erosion control, water rehabilitation, electricity upgrades, medical outreaches, and skill acquisition programmes have been executed.
He added that he supplements his official earnings with personal resources to support constituents’ welfare.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ongoing economic reforms and praised Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his leadership.
The lawmaker called for unity within the party and appealed for support through consensus or primaries, assuring that he would focus on completing ongoing projects if re-elected and has no intention of seeking a third term.
Oweh and Esigie, in their remarks, reaffirmed their support and offered prayers for his success, as stakeholders emphasized unity ahead of 2027.
