2026 May Day: Andaye assures Bomadi Council workers of enhanced welfare ~ Truth Reporters

As the world celebrates the 2026 edition of the International Workers Day on May 1 2026, the Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has assured workers under his jurisdiction , of enhanced welfare packages
Andaye equally reaffirmed his administration's firm resolve to improving the work environment , ensure training and retraining of staff as well as double their motivation in order to realize set goals .
In his May Day message to Bomadi Council workers , the Executive Chairman noted with a sense of accomplishment, the cordial relationship existing between.his management team and the workforce under the NULGE leadership in the local government
He said he wholeheartedly aligns with the workers in terms of the core principle of the International Labour Organization ( ILO) , which dwells on workplace safety, dignity in labour and inclusive economic growth for workers , among others .
Reminding them that they are partners in progress in implementing his administration's policies and programmes , Hon Andaye charged Bomadi Council workers to redouble their effort towards service delivery , as that support will enhance more accelerated development for the benefit of the people of Bomadi.
Said Andaye :"As the engine room of my administration , l celebrate your resilience and dedication to duty. I assure you that this administration, under my watch , will continue to prioritize your welfare through prompt payment of salaries and allowances , an enabling worker friendly environment to operate, as well as other motivational incentives in line with ILO standards of dignity to the worker."
Andaye also added that his administration had long ago started the implementation of the new minimum wage , festive periods support , particularly at Christmas in order to give the workers a sense of belonging and enhance their economic well being, pledging to sustain these efforts annually .
