Ukodhiko Meets Omu, Egbabor, Others, Intensifies Consultations Ahead of APC Primaries ~ Truth Reporters

The Member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. (Pst.) Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, has stepped up high-level political consultations ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries scheduled for May 2026.

Ukodhiko, who is seeking a second term, is anchoring his re-election bid on what he describes as a strong record of performance spanning two years and ten months. 

According to him, his campaign is focused on consolidating ongoing development programmes, expanding constituency projects, and strengthening legislative impact across Isoko North and South.

As part of his strategic engagements, the lawmaker paid consultative visits to key party leaders and stakeholders. 

Among those he met were Stella Stella Omu, a former senator and influential APC leader; Elder Emmanuel Egbabor State Organising Secretary of APC; Arc Joe Iroro former Chairman of Isoko South LGA; Chief Emmanuel Erezih Executive Assistant to the Governor on Beautification and President-General of Emevor Community; Chief Austin Igbine; and Jahswill Asaba.

During the meetings, Ukodhiko held extensive discussions centred on party unity, grassroots mobilisation, and strategies for securing victory at the primaries and beyond. 

He formally declared his intention to seek re-election while soliciting the support, guidance, and endorsement of party stalwarts.

Sources said the consultations featured frank exchanges and mutual assurances, with leaders commending the lawmaker for maintaining close ties with his constituency and delivering visible development. 

Key issues highlighted included infrastructure, youth empowerment, education support, and healthcare interventions.

Speaking during the engagements, Ukodhiko reiterated his commitment to effective representation, stressing that his legislative agenda remains people-centred and development-driven. 

He noted that his first term has laid a solid foundation for greater achievements if given another mandate.

“I have come to consult with our leaders, seek their counsel, and request their support as I aspire to continue the work we have started for our people,” he said. “The journey so far has been impactful, but there is still much more to be done.”

Ukodhiko’s early outreach is widely seen as a calculated move to consolidate alliances and build consensus within the party structure.

With the countdown to the APC primaries underway, his engagements signal the start of what is expected to be an intense political season in Delta State, as aspirants position themselves for party tickets and the subsequent general elections.
