Speaking in an interview with newsmen, Andaye described the long-awaited reconstruction of the Ohoror–Bomadi Road as a landmark achievement that has rekindled hope among residents.
He noted that the project has significantly boosted economic activities, enhanced trade, and improved access to healthcare, education, and other essential social services across five local government areas.
“With improved physical access, our people can now harness agricultural potential, seize employment opportunities, and break the cycle of poverty. We are poised for growth and deeply grateful for this catalyst,” Andaye stated.
The council chairman further remarked that the rehabilitation of the road has addressed longstanding safety concerns while restoring the dignity of the people in the area.
He added that the massive turnout of residents during the inauguration on Tuesday, March 17, reflected widespread support and appreciation for the governor’s efforts.
According to him, the people of Bomadi are resolved to support Governor Oborevwori and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections to attract more developmental projects to the area.
Andaye also commended the governor for approving another set of transformative projects for Bomadi and the wider Ijaw Nation. These include the construction of Macaulay and Muturu Roads in Bomadi, internal roads in Odimodi and Ogulagha communities in Burutu, and the construction of the Torugbene–Ojobo Road with a spur to Ojobo Town.
He further lauded the planned construction of Police Divisional Headquarters in all 25 local government areas of the state.
“On behalf of the Ijaw Nation, we express our heartfelt gratitude for this leadership that transcends expectations and inspires hope for a brighter future,” Andaye added.
