APC South-South Zonal Congress: Andaye commends party unity on emergence of consensus executives ~ Truth Reporters

The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has commended the spirit of unity and consensus that was the Hallmark of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) South-South Zonal Congress held in Asaba, the Delta State Capital , on Wednesday 25th March, 2026.

He described the exercise as "a true reflection of internal democracy", highlighting the commitment of members to unity, stability, and collective progress.

While commending the leadership of the party for organizing a smooth and credible zonal Congress , the Bomadi Council Boss reaffirmed his commitment towards mobilizing grassroots support and strengthening party structures in Bomadi Local Government Area , in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Congress which held at the Dome Event Centre , brought together Governors from the region, led by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, party leaders , federal and state lawmakers , including the Senate President , Senator Godswill Akpabio , as well as delegates who successfully elected a new Zonal Executive Committee through a peaceful and transparent process.

The exercise which commenced with the formal dissolution of the outgoing Zonal Executive Committee through motions moved and seconded , followed by the unanimous adoption of consensus as the mode of electing the new executives, underscored the APC's commitment to cohesion and internal alignment.

The host and Governor of Delta State , Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, while welcoming all delegates , had described the event as a reflection of APC's strenght, unity, and readiness for future political engagements.

He urged party members to sustain grassroots mobilization, maintain strong party structures, and deepen engagement with the people to consolidate the party's growing influence in the South-South region.

At the end of the exercise , Chief Victor Giadom , returned as the zone's National Vice Chairman, while Dr It's Udosen, emerged as the zonal Secretary.

Others who emerged include Barr Newworld Safugha (Zonal Legal Adviser), Dr Samuel Nwanosike ( Zonal Publicity Secretary), Prince Uyoyo Koyoyo ( Zonal Youth Leader), Hon Suobankuo Omoni ( Zonal Women Leader), Hon Prince Edward ( Zonal Organizing Secretary), and Prince Ayo Peter ( Representative of Persons with Disabilities).
