Illegal dump sites: Andaye hands down two-week ultimatum to Aiyetoro residents in Bomadi ~ Truth Reporters

The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon Rawlings Dagidi Andaye, has issued a two-week ultimatum to residents of Aiyetoro in Bomadi , to evacuate the legion bags of scraps, plastics and other items loitering the main road leading into Bomadi town , or risk demolition of the entire community .

Hon Andaye frowned at the unwholesome action of the mainly non indigenes of Hausa-fulani extraction in turning the environment into an illegal dump site, warning this his administration would not tolerate any act by any person or group of persons , to deface the environment .

The Council Chairman who handed down the ultimatum during an unscheduled stop over at the Aiyetoro community on Saturday February 21st, 2026, noted with great displeasure that the once aesthetic ambience of the community which is the boundary into Bomadi town, the headquarters of the Council Area , has  become an embarrassing sight to behold , due to the illegal activities of turning the entire stretch of the road into a dump site for all manner of scraps and plastics which were bagged and brazenly displayed to litter both sides of the main road .

The visibly disappointed Andaye said even though Bomadi local government under his watch , will continue to be home to all law abiding indigenes and non indigenes alike , he will not tolerate any act aimed at distorting the environmental harmony of the area .

Said the Bomadi Council Chairman : " This is the entrance into Bomadi , and you can see this embarrassing sight. I am using this opportunity to address the residents of this place ( Aiyetoro). I am giving them a two weeks ultimatum to evacuate all the bagged items , whether scraps, plastics or what have you , that are littering both sides of this road and constituting an unhealthy environmental and aesthetic nuisance. If these things are not removed in two weeks, l will not only come to remove them , but also demolish both the illegal structures , zinc and block houses around this community . Nothing will be spared".

The livid Hon Andaye wondered why non indigenes will want to turn his local government into an illegal dump site for used metals, plastics and scraps , an action he said they would not have the conscience to do in their various places of origin.

He therefore charged the illegal dump site operators to explore an alternative location off the road , failure to comply would attract nothing less than outright demolition of the entire community .

Responding , the leader of the Aiyetoro non-indigenes of Bomadi , Mallam Murtala Mohammed, assured the Council Boss, Hon Andaye, that he will expedite action on the Chairman's directive, noting that the message is clear enough for them to adhere to .
