CMA Concludes Back to School Project After Reaching 28 Communities Across Delta, Edo States ~ Truth Reporters

The Common Men Assembly (CMA) has successfully concluded its Back to School Project after an extensive outreach that covered 28 communities and schools across six Local Government Areas in Delta State and Edo State.

The education focused intervention was designed to support primary schools with essential learning materials and improve classroom conditions for pupils in underserved communities, particularly in riverine and hard to reach areas. The project reached communities in Warri South, Warri South West, Warri North, Burutu, Patani, Bomadi, and parts of Edo State.

Speaking at the close of the programme, the Chairman of the Common Men Assembly, who is also a medical Personnel, Chief Angodideke Jude, described the project as a deliberate investment in the future of children and their communities. He noted that the initiative went beyond charity and reflected a sense of collective responsibility toward strengthening access to basic education.

He disclosed that beneficiary schools received desks, books, school sandals, and school bags, with some schools provided up to 30 desks each in addition to the other learning materials, significantly improving classroom learning conditions.

According to the Chairman, the successful execution of the project was made possible through the support and collaboration of key partners, notably Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and the Godfrey Pondi Book Club. He also commended the commitment of CMA members, volunteers, community leaders, school administrators, and parents who contributed to the success of the outreach.

During the programme, CMA visited and supported schools across several communities including Okosugbene, Izansa, Ofougbene, Orugbene, Ekogbene, Bulou-Ndoro, Kokodiagbene, Batan-Diebiri, Isaba, Ayakoromo, Ogbudugbudu, Ovia North, Patani, Agoloma, Odurobu, Kpakiama, Bomadi, Okpokunou, Enekorogha, Edegbene, Tuomo, Tamigbe, Torugbene, Ojobo, Ugborodo, and Opuodebubou, among others.

He further appreciated teachers and school authorities for their dedication, especially in remote communities, and thanked parents for their continued support of their children’s education despite prevailing economic challenges. He added that the excitement and enthusiasm shown by pupils throughout the outreach reaffirmed the importance of sustained, community driven educational interventions.

The Common Men Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to education and grassroots development, stating that although this phase of the Back to School Project has ended, similar initiatives will continue as part of its long term vision to empower communities and secure a better future for children across Delta and Edo States.
