Andaye bags OAU's Award for Nation Building, Community Development ~ Truth Reporters

In recognition of his outstanding participation and intellectual contributions at the National Public Dialogue on Governance in the 21st Century, Bomadi Council Chairman, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has received another notable national recognition from the renowned Obafemi Awolowo University ( OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The award , tagged "Award of Nation Building and Community Development", was conferred on Hon Andaye , by the Department of Local Government and Development Studies, on Tuesday 9th December 2025, at the BOOC Lecture Theatre , Obafemi Awolowo University , Ile-Ife.

The latest diadem bestowed on the Delta ALGON Secretary , underscores Andaye,s growing profile as a committed grassroots leader and advocate of effective governance.

It further reflects OAU,s acknowledgement of  leaders like the Bomadi Council Chairman , whose actions and ideas positively influence local governance and national development discourse.

According to the citation , Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye,s purposeful leadership, people-oriented policies, and dedication to sustainable development within Bomadi Local Government Area, has earned his administration,s continued commendation for promoting inclusive governance , accountability, and community growth.

Receiving the prestigious award on behalf of Hon Andaye, the Head of Personnel Management (HPM) , of Udu Local Government Council, Mr Joseph Akpodiete, thanked the Department of Local Government and Development Studies of OAU, for finding him worthy of the recognition.

The Bomadi Council Chairman said the award , coming from a prestigious first generation Tertiary institution as the Obafemi Awolowo University , Ile-Ife, would further encourage him to  do more for the people of Bomadi local government.

The OAU award further strengthens Hon Dagidi Andaye,s leadership credibility , elevating his national relevance , and reinforcing his resolve to remain steadfast in delivering impactful governance that contributes meaningfully to community advancement and nation -building .
