Adasen Hails Oborevwori on Fulfilment of Campaign Promises, Decries Political Thuggery in Arhavwarien ~ Truth Reporters

Special Assistant (Technical) to the Delta State Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Engr. Adasen Ejovi, has praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, for what he described as the consistent and faithful fulfilment of his campaign promises to the people of the state.

Engr. Adasen made the commendation while speaking at the palace of the Ovie of Arhavwarien Kingdom, His Royal Highness, King Solomon Okukeren. 

He lauded the monarch’s forthright leadership founded on justice and fairness, noting that such virtues have continued to foster peace and unity in Arhavwarien Kingdom.

He, however, condemned an alleged act of political thuggery involving a former senior political appointee of the immediate past administration, who was accused of vandalising a season’s greetings banner erected on behalf of the Governor and the Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Comrade Reuben Rume Izeze.

Describing the act as needless and reprehensible, Engr. Adasen stressed that politics should be devoid of violence and intimidation, warning that the law does not respect personalities and would take its full course against anyone found culpable.

He further highlighted the ongoing construction of five flyovers and several other major road projects across the three senatorial districts of the state, under the direct supervision of the Commissioner for Works, Comrade Izeze. 

According to him, the projects are clear evidence of Governor Oborevwori’s unwavering commitment to infrastructural development.

In his response, the Ovie of Arhavwarien Kingdom, His Royal Highness King Solomon Okukeren, expressed appreciation to Governor Oborevwori for his remarkable strides in infrastructure development across Delta State. 

He also commended the Governor’s decision to appoint Comrade Reuben Izeze as Commissioner for Works, describing the appointment as well-deserved and impactful.

The monarch further thanked the Commissioner for appointing Engr. (COREN) Adasen Ejovi, an indigene of Arhavwarien Kingdom, as Special Assistant (Technical), noting that the appointment has enhanced the kingdom’s sense of inclusion in governance.

King Okukeren also condemned the reported act of political thuggery and destruction of property, assuring that traditional institutions would put measures in place to prevent a recurrence of such irresponsible and condemnable acts.

He used the occasion to appeal to the project-driven Governor to consider the construction of a bridge linking Arhavwarien Island Kingdom to the rest of Ughelli South Local Government Area, describing the project as vital to the socio-economic development of the kingdom.
