Scholarship: NDOKWAFORWARD Hails Onyeme for Empowering 683 Students ~ Truth Reporters
NDOKWAFORWARD, a prominent political pressure group in Ndokwa Nation, has applauded the Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, for his steadfast commitment to educational development through the Monday Onyeme Foundation Scholarship Scheme.
The group noted that the scheme, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, awarded scholarships worth over N140 million to 683 students across Ndokwa and Delta North.
In a statement signed by Hon. (Bar.) Sam Osasa, Dr. George Ugbomah, and Chief Isaac Onyesom, the group described the initiative as a testament to the Deputy Governor’s unwavering dedication to human capital development.
They noted that the Foundation now with over 2,500 beneficiaries, has become one of Delta State’s most impactful privately driven educational support programmes.
The group praised Sir Onyeme for remaining committed to the vision he championed long before assuming public office, noting that the scholarship scheme has expanded significantly since he became Deputy Governor.
According to NDOKWAFORWARD, his actions reflect a deep and genuine interest in the growth of young people across Ndokwa, Ika, Aniocha/Oshimili, and the entire Delta North district.
“His Excellency has demonstrated that true leadership is not merely spoken but lived through consistent service and meaningful investment in people,” the group stated.
They also appreciated dignitaries, partners, and supporters who graced the cheque-presentation ceremony in Asaba, saying their participation and additional contributions further encouraged the beneficiaries and underscored a shared commitment to nurturing future leaders.
NDOKWAFORWARD urged the beneficiaries to honour the rare privilege by striving for academic excellence, maintaining good conduct, and remaining focused on their aspirations. The scholarship, they emphasised, is a life-changing opportunity designed to inspire them to become role models to others.
The group further called on all Ndokwa sons and daughters to support the Deputy Governor’s educational empowerment drive, describing it as a transformative initiative that expands opportunities and strengthens the future of the region.
In addition, NDOKWAFORWARD encouraged eligible voters in Ndokwa Nation to actively participate in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise.
They said broad civic participation would help reinforce support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and Deputy Governor Onyeme ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“As a political pressure group, we celebrate His Excellency, Sir Monday Onyeme, for his vision, compassion, and consistency. His investment in human capital is a legacy that will endure and positively impact generations,” the statement added.
NDOKWAFORWARD reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Deputy Governor and commended his life-changing interventions in the education sector.
