Bomadi Council Chairman, Andaye, To Receive NUJ Delta's "Transformational Devt Legacy Award" ~ Truth Reporters

In recognition of his "exemplary commitment in transforming infrastructure in your LGA", Bomadi Local Government Council Chairman, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, is set to be presented with the Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ), Delta State Council,s "Transformational Development Legacy Award"

The award , coming on the heels of the Bomadi Council Chairman's recent "The Best Local Government Chairman of The Year 2025" and "Icon of Societal Transformation" Awards of Excellence from Time Africa Magazine and National Association of Nigerian Students ( NANS) National Headquarters, respectively, will be presented on Thursday November 20th, 2025, at the grand opening , lecture , and awards ceremony of the NUJ Delta 2025 Press week celebrations, in Asaba, the Delta State Capital.

According to the letter of notification endorsed by Comrades Pere Botu and Barth Ozah, the Chairman and Secretary of the NUJ Delta 2025 Press Week Planning Committee, respectively , Hon Andaye , also Secretary of ALGON Delta State Chapter , will be honoured at the event which will feature Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, being investitured as Grand Patron of NUJ by the National President NUJ, Comrade Alhassan Yahya.

The Guest Speaker at the 2025 NUJ Press Week celebrations, Distinguished Senator Joel Onowakpo Thomas, Senator representing Delta South Senatorial district in the 10th Senate, will speak on the theme ,"Tax Regimes and Exchange Rate Unification: Economic Implications and The Media,s Strategic Roles"

Discussants at the event  which will hold at the Orchid hotels, DBS road , Asaba, include the Chairman, Delta State Internal Revenue Service, Hon Solomon Ighrakpata, and Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice , Ekeme Ohwovoriole, SAN, among others , while Mr Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu Commissioner for Works ( Rural Roads) and Public information, will be Guest of Honour

Others expected are former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Ndudi Elumelu, and Speaker emeritus of Delta State House of Assembly , Rt Hon ( Engr) Victor Ochei.
