Rally Round Asagba of Asaba, Idigbe, SAN, Urges Indigenes ~ Truth Reporters

The "Akuluauno" of Asaba, Chief Anthony Ikemefuna Idigbe, SAN, has appealed to the people of Asaba to rally round and support the institution and person of the 14th Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge, SAN, FNIALS.

 

Speaking during a solidarity and homage visit to the monarch at his palace, Chief Idigbe, accompanied by his wife, the "Odoziaku Ahaba", Chief Mrs. Lizzy Idigbe, Esq, emphasized that the Asagba of Asaba embodies development-focused and success-driven initiatives for the growth of the kingdom.

 

The eminent Olinzele title holder noted that Asagba Azinge’s pedigree and achievements as a world-class legal luminary, coupled with his deep commitment to preserving the culture and traditions of the Asaba people, are a source of pride for the community.

 

Chief Idigbe, who also serves as Chairman of the Asaba Chamber of Commerce International Arbitration Commission (ACCIAC), pledged unwavering support to the monarch’s developmental drive. 

He further disclosed the imminent commencement of a fully licensed radio station designed to give greater voice to the state capital and the Asaba community in particular.

 

In his response, the Asagba of Asaba, Obi Prof. Azinge, SAN, commended Chief Idigbe for boldly championing support for the revered traditional throne. 

He remarked that the planned Asaba-oriented radio station aligns with his vision of disseminating the Asaba message to a broad and diverse audience.

 

The monarch reaffirmed that his reign as the 14th Asagba is focused on the overall development and advancement of Asaba across all sectors, urging others to emulate the exemplary gesture of Chief Idigbe, SAN.

 

A major highlight of the visit was the administration of the oath of allegiance, performed by the "Ochudo" of Asaba.
