Oromoni Distances Self from Unauthorized Facebook Post on Ogbe-Ijoh Monarch’s Coronation Anniversary ~ Truth Reporters
The Executive Chairman of Warri South West Local Government Area, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni, has disowned a Facebook post purportedly issued in his name to congratulate His Royal Majesty, Pere Ama-okosu (Monbene III), on the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Oromoni clarified that he neither owns nor manages the Facebook account that made the congratulatory post, stressing that the message was published without his knowledge or consent.
“My attention has been drawn to a Facebook account bearing my name that posted a congratulatory message regarding the 10th coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Pere Ama-okosu (Monbene III) of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom.
"I wish to make it clear that the said message was not authorized by me and was posted without my approval,” Oromoni stated.
The Warri South West chairman urged the public to disregard both the message and the Facebook page, emphasizing that it does not reflect his personal views, official position, or that of the local government council.
He further reiterated his commitment to peace, unity, and mutual respect among the various communities in the council area while cautioning against acts capable of creating misunderstanding.
“I regret any misconception the said post may have caused and deeply appreciate the public’s understanding and continued support,” he added.
