Oborevwori committed to peace, even development of Delta, affirms Aniagwu ~ Truth Reporters

Mr Charles Aniagwu, Delta State,s Commissioner for Works ( Rural Roads ) and Public Information , has affirmed that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori remains resolutely committed to fairness, peace, and even development across the state

According to the Commissioner , the commitment of Governor Oborevwori to a peaceful and prosperous Delta , "is unshaken", adding that "he has carried everybody along and his governance style values all Deltans as one people"

Addressing journalists against the backdrop of alleged claims of bias in some quarters , against Governor Sheriff Oborevwori,s administration , Mr Aniagwu insisted that the Governor remains resolutely committed to fairness, peace, and even development, across the state

Describing the negative narratives being pushed by political actors ahead of the 2027 elections as "false and completely at variance with reality" the Public Information Commissioner stressed that Oborevwori has consistently governed as  "a Governor for all Deltans", irrespective of ethic or political affiliations.

Noting that developmental projects and appointments by the Governor cut across the 25 local government areas of the state , Aniagwu emphasized that Oborevwori has continued to pilot the affairs of Delta , not along ethnic lines, but with fairness , equity and inclusiveness .

Noting that Governor Oborevwori has recently directed the setting up of a Peace and Reconciliation Committee to engage aggrieved individuals and groups, the Commissioner urged members of the political class to put aside divisive tendencies and support the Oborevwori administration,s developmental drive

He maintained that none of the Governor,s critics , even the most vitriolic, could fault him on performance ,pointing to the numerous projects spread across Riverine and upland communities, investment in education, and social programmes targeted at lifting citizens out of poverty

Declared Aniagwu : "The commitment of Governor Oborevwori to a peaceful and prosperous Delta is unshaken" .
