Mokwa Flood: Senator Manu leads Taraba govt delegation to Niger State (Photos) ~ Truth Reporters

The Senator representing  Taraba Central , Senator  Manu Haruna on Tuesday led  Taraba State Government, to visit  Niger State to express condolences and solidarity in the wake of the devastating floods that struck Mokwa.

 Accompanied by Hon. Danladi Baido Tijos, the delegation was warmly received at the Government House in Minna.

During the visit, Senator Haruna referred to the flood as a "monumental loss" and a "national disaster," emphasizing the collective sorrow of the Taraba State government for the victims and their families affected by this calamity.

 In a show of support, he announced a significant donation of N50 million aimed at aiding the recovery efforts for the impacted communities.

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State expressed deep appreciation for the delegation's visit and the generous financial support from Taraba State.

 He acknowledged the critical importance of inter-state cooperation during times of crisis and commended Taraba State's commitment to assisting those in need.

This visit not only solidified the bond between the two states but also exemplified the spirit of unity and shared responsibility in facing natural disasters.
