2nd Year Anniversary: Odior Salutes Oborevwori, Assures Deltans of Brighter Days Ahead ~ Truth Reporters

The Majority Whip of the Delta State House of Assembly and Member Representing Isoko North Constituency, Hon. (Barr.) Bernard Odior, has described the second year of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's administration as a remarkable journey of promises made and fulfilled. 

He assured Deltans that even brighter days lie ahead as the administration enters its third year.

Hon. Odior encouraged the people to expect more and prepare for an exciting period in the governor's drive for transformational development across the state.

While addressing selected journalists on May 28, 2025, at the State House of Assembly in Asaba, shortly after the Governor’s State Address, Hon. Odior stated that Governor Oborevwori has remained committed to his promises through the implementation of the MORE Agenda over the past two years.

He noted that the governor’s developmental achievements across the three senatorial districts have been commendable, attracting national recognition and several awards during this period.

One of these is the ThisDay Newspaper and Arise Television Governor of the Year 2024 Award, presented in recognition of his fiscal discipline and infrastructural development. He also received the Telegraph Newspaper Governor of the Year 2024 Award for his notable accomplishments in infrastructure. Additionally, the Vanguard Newspaper presented him with the Governor of the Year 2024 Award for his dedication to good governance and impactful leadership.

Hon. Odior remarked that these awards are a reflection of the governor’s exceptional performance in all sectors under the MORE Agenda.

He also expressed appreciation for the cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government. He cited the recent approval of the Consolidated Legislative Salary Structure (CONLESS) for staff of the Delta State House of Assembly as evidence of the effective collaboration, noting that it will enhance legislative efficiency and staff welfare.

He concluded by saying that the 42 projects scheduled for inauguration represent significant infrastructural development across the state, aligning with the vision of the MORE Agenda under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
