MORE Agenda: Ethiope East PDP Empowers 220 Members With N22M ~ Truth Reporters
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ethiope East Local Government Area, under the leadership of Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, empowered 220 beneficiaries with N22 million as part of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda for job and wealth creation.
The initiative, supported by elected representatives and political appointees, aimed to complement the governor’s broader empowerment programs that have already benefited over 250,000 youths and women across Delta State.
Akpowowo emphasized that more empowerment programs were in the pipeline and assured that PDP would secure an overwhelming victory in 2027 due to the governor’s impressive achievements.
Other political leaders, including Chief Augustine Ogedegbe, Chief James Omeru, and Chief (Barr) George Orogun, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting constituents and promoting economic growth. Beneficiaries were encouraged to invest their funds wisely to build sustainable businesses.
The program also highlighted PDP’s strong political standing in Delta State, with key figures like State Director of Protocol, Chief Sunday Onoriode, Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari the commissioner for higher education and Dr. Prosper Otega Ejenarhome, the Senior Special Assitant to the Governor on Youths predicting another landslide victory for the party in 2027.
Speaking immediately after the empowerment program, Dr. Prosper Otega Ejenarhome, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths, lauded the initiative as a bold step towards economic empowerment and poverty alleviation.
“This is not just about giving financial aid; it is about giving people the means to create wealth and build a better future. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda is not just a vision—it is a reality that is transforming lives across Delta State.

Dr. Ejenarhome further encouraged the beneficiaries to use the financial support wisely, emphasizing that success often starts small but grows with consistency and discipline. He assured the youths of continued support from the government, reaffirming that the PDP remains committed to fostering a thriving economic and political landscape where every Deltan can prosper.
