Don't go to court, support incoming governor, Agbi tells Delta Guber candidates ~ Truth Reporters







...As Oborevwori promises to be governor for all Deltans

The gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People's Party, in Delta State in the just concluded general election Dr. Goodnews Goodman Agbi has urged all other governorship candidates in the State to shun the tribunal court and join hands with the governor elect Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori  to move the State forward.


He made this known during a congratulatory visit to the governor elect in his office at Asaba, Delta State.


According to him, "We are all aware of your  acceptability by Deltans, out of 25 local government you clinched 21 to emerged winner of the just concluded gubernatorial election. 


"I am still wondering why some of our colleagues after your landslide victory still want to go to the tribunal court to challenge the election result.


"At this time, is for all other gubernatorial candidate to rally round the winner so that the state can move forward. The election result reflect your popularity in the state.


He stressed that, a foundation has been laid in the state by the incoming governor predecessor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, noting that he should build upon that platform.


"Your predecessor is somebody whose benevolent tentacles spread throughout the whole state. We want you to be somebody to be remember for carrying everybody along both that voted for you and those who did not.


"We know your track record that is why you were able to weep other gubernatorial candidate. We are not ashame to say it. It is a contest, your popularity was proven through the election result because you are grassroot person.


"For us in the NNPP there is no need to waste our resources and time and resources in the tribunal court. We must support Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori to move the state forward", he said.


On his part the governor elect Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori stated that, "I will run inclusive government, I want to be a governor for all deltans, as a unifier you have encouraged me to do more."


 Oborevwori thanked Agbi for the show of love, stating that he will be very happy if other gubernatorial candidate can emulate his style the state will move forward.


The governor elect also said that, "I can assured you that the government that is coming will join hands with all Deltans to do more for the state.


"Like I said in 'MORE AGENDA' there will be meaningful development, better opportunity, peace and security in the state. We need to rebuild the state, my predecessor has done very well in terms of infrastructures and human capital development.


 "I want to consolidate on all the achievement and do more for deltans. Delta State is a state that will continue to witness more development and more dividends of democracy. They know me and they know I will not disappoint them.


He also said that, " I will not disappoint deltans, I believe in what I will be remember for. I have been the speaker for more than 6 years you can see how the workers of the Delta State House of Assembly are celebrating me.


It is God that gives power not man, it is God that use the people to vote me and the position will remain permanently in Jesus Mighty Name.
