Heritage donates relief materials to flood victims in Delta ~ Truth Reporters

The management of Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, (HEOSL), operators of OML 30, yesterday, presented relief materials affected by the recent flood in Isoko South and Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State.


Making the present on behalf of the OML 30 joint partners, the General Manager, Government, Joint Venture and External Relations, Mr. Adesola Abebawo, said the items worth over  N50 million was part of their social corporate responsibility initiative to identify with the flood ravaged communities in their areas of operations.





Adebawo who was represented by Head, Community Relations and Security, Mr. Sylvester Okoh, said: "As responsible investors, the OML 30 JV partners's move is part of Delta State Government's efforts at mitigating the attendant hardship caused by the flood in the state.



He noted that the provision of the items "is putting a human face to the OML 30 Asset and to demonstrate partnership with our affected communities in good and bad times."


The items presented included bags of rice, beans, garri and salt. Others includes cartons of indomine, bottled water, tomatoe paste, cartons of groundnut oil, beaverages, plastic buckets, treated nets, blankets, sanitary packs as well as medical items.



The benefitting communities includes, Uzere, Olomoro, Oleh, Igbide, Enhwe, Okpolo-Enhwe and Emede, all in Isoko South and, Evwreni, Uwheru and Unenurhie in Ughelli North.


Receiving the items of the communities, Chairman of the OML 30 Cluster Development Board, CDB, High Chief Iduh Amadhe expressed gratitude to the company for finding it expedient to show concern to the host communities in their time of need.



He advised the leadership of the various communities to ensure equitable distribution of items to affect persons in their areas.


Others who spoke, including the representatives of the Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Chairmen of Ughelli North and Ughelli South and the President General of Evwreni Community, Mr. Bright Adjobe thanked the company and it's joint venture partners for reaching out to the affected communities in their hours of need.
