Ukodhiko commends Dame Okowa for Couples Forum ~ Truth Reporters

Wife of PDP aspirant for Isoko Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Mrs Ivie Ukodhiko on Sunday, commended the First Lady of Delta State, Dame Edith Okowa for sustaining the “Couples Forum” initiative which according to her has helped in fostering unity and love in homes across the State.


Mrs Ukodhiko made the commendation at the 2022 Couples Forum she attended with her husband, Pastor Ukodhiko Ajirioghene Jonathan at the Dome Event Centre, Asaba. 





For Mrs Ukodhiko, “Her Excellency, Dame Okowa’s initiative of organizing a yearly Couples’ Forum has undoubtedly seen to more intimacy and the strengthening of marriages and saved many families from the brink of divorce, and I must commend wife of the State Governor“


She stated that, “the theme of this year’s Couples’ Forum, “Integrity in Marriage” is apt and timely based on contemporary realities”


While calling for sacrificial and unconditional love amongst couples, the renowned business manager, Mrs Ukodhiko appealed to husbands and wives to “make sincerity, honesty, faithfulness, wholesomeness their watchwords in their marriages as it would help in fostering integrity in marriages as adviced by the Guest speaker, Prof Chinedu Nebo in his speech.”


She counselled Couples in the State to build their marriage upon Jesus Christ, be forgiving of each other and be committed to their marital vows.


Mrs Ukodhiko enjoined couples to desist from insulting but always, ensured good communication amongst themselves in their marriages


She encouraged husbands to unconditionally love their wives, and while the wives should completely submit to their husbands, together be sensitive to each other’s concerns and supportive to their individual aspirations.


The Couples Forum was witnessed by the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, his wife and Founder of the Initiative, Dame Edith Okowa, Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Ochor Ochor, the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Patrick Ukah, Council Chairmen, commissioners, Special Advisers and top public functionaries with their spouses.
