Okowa’s Choice for 2023 Will Be Best for Delta - PDP Chieftain ~ Truth Reporters

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and an Aide to the Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Engr Philips Chukwumah Ugbomah, has stated that Deltans who love the state will stick to whoever the Governor’s choice for the party’s candidate for the 2023 Delta Governorship race.

Engr. Ugbomah stated this on Saturday, January 15, 2023 at the sideline of the political annual get together in Agbor, organised by a political pressure group, the Delta Political Vanguard, DPV, when he spoke with reporters.

He stated that, the choice of the governor for the 2023 election will not only be the best choice for the party, but also for the state, as such candidate, when elected will continue with the infrastructure development of the state.

“I must tell you, Real Deltans, I mean those who love this state, will do nothing but to support the choice of our dear Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, as the party’s candidate for the 2023 Governorship election in the state.”

“There are lot of reasons for this, as the choice candidate that may be directed by the Governor, will be the best choice for the continuous infrastructure development of the state. This is because, the development of the state infrastructure had been raised by this government, and the best and only person that will sustain this will be one who will sustain the tempo of development in the state, and the governor will not do otherwise.” He said.

Speaking further, he stated that Okowa, for the past 7 years had ran an all inclusive government in the state, and inter ethnic cohesion in carrying out state duties.

“One other reasons, while members of the PDP will support the choice of the governor is the way and manner he is running his administration, which had this all inclusive government, and an inter ethnic cohesion in carrying out state duties. This we cannot wish away, as we need this continuity beginning with the next Governor. We are confident of winning the state, in 2023. This assertion is simple, Delta state is PDP, and PDP had consistently moved the state from one positive to another.”

“I therefore call on all right thinking Deltans, to join me to support the Agbor Declaration by the Delta Political Vanguard.” He concluded.
