... Sierra Leonan VP makes case for tolerance of dissenting voices 

The Executive Director of the Young Political Leadership School Africa, Mr. Eddie D. Jarwolo has commended Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his resounding commitments to the inclusion of youths in governance through capacity building.

Mr. Eddie gave the commendation at the opening ceremony of the Cohort 8 of the Young Political Leadership School which held at the Bella Cassa Hotel in Monrovia, Liberia.

He stated that Delta State Government had taken it as a responsibility to ensure that upcoming leaders in the state were properly groomed and mentored to enable take over the mantle of leadership.

He added that the state Governor had through his Special Assistant on Youth Development, Mr. Elvis Akpobi sponsored youths to the political school to make sure that they are well equipped with requisite knowledge of leadership.

He further stated that the Governor had through the Delta State Orientation Bureau ensured that the mindset reformation of the Youths enjoyed in the state was not limited to those in Nigeria alone, hence the presence of the Director General of the Bureau, Barr. Eugene Uzum, to share his knowledge with youths from across Africa.

Speaking also at the opening ceremony, the Honorable Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Dr. Mohammed J. Jalloh has drawn the attention of young emerging leaders on the need to tolerate intelligent dissenting voices.

He noted that most times such dissenting voices are out to put leaders back on track and also to correct them whenever they are going wrong.
