FIFA Council Seat: Ereyitomi congratulates Pinnick ~ Truth Reporters












The Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency and Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Hon. Chief Thomas Ereyitomi JP has congratulated one of his constituents , Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick on his victory and election as a member of FIFA Council the World Highest Football decision making body.


Chief Ereyitomi JP described the Warri Born Delta Son and NFF President,  Amaju Melvin Pinnick as a distinguished fellow who has over the years distinguished himself as a seasoned football administrator who served as  Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission in 2010 before his appointment as chairman of Delta State Football Association due to his excellent performance which has spurred him further to the top into CAF and now FIFA Council saying it is a well deserved focus and reward for hard work.



The Warri National Assembly Member, Ereyitomi expressed satisfaction on the process leading to the  landslide winning by Pinnick,  saying that is a sign that he's generally accepted by the Continent football administrators,  he urged him to attract more football development to Warri, Nigeria and Africa and as well continue making Warri proud.


Spokesman to Warri Federal Constituency Rep Ereyitomi,  Amb. Dr. Toyin Agbolaya and the Senior Legislative Aide , Alex Gbiwen Esq. In a statement felicitated with NFF President and Elected COUNCIL member  Federation of Football Association, FIFA, Amaju Pinnick and wished him more soaring in making Warri Federal Constituency,  Delta, Nigeria, Africa and the World to reverence the people and the city.



It would be recalled that five rivals namely: Lamin Kaba Bajo from  The Gambia,  Wallace Karia Tanzania, Nick Mwendwa from Kenya and Andrew Kamanga , Zambia withdrew from the race to support Pinnick.


The election which held on Friday March 12, 2021 at Rabat, Morocco saw , Pinnick defeated  his  incumbent, Walter Nyamilandu of Malawi by 43 votes to 8 to become only the third Nigerian to take a seat in world football’s highest decision-making organ, after late Etubom Oyo Orok Oyo and Dr Amos Adamu. Amb. Agbolaya and Gbiwen Esq on behalf of Chief Ereyitomi added thus Congrats Pinnick you're moving Warri forward to sure possibilities.
