Takeme Condoles Okowa Over Demise Of Father ~ Truth Reporters

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Delta South Senatorial District, Chief Dr. Julius Takeme (JP) has sympathized with His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State and the entire family over the demise of their father, Chief Arthur Okorie Uzoma Okowa.


Chief Dr. Julius Takeme sympathized with the Governor and the entire Okowa's family via a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri earlier today, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers. 


Dr. Takeme while describing the demise of Chief Arthur Okorie Uzoma Okowa as a monumental loss to the state had particularly sympathized with Governor Okowa to take heart, stressing that Delta State have truly lost a great man. 


While speaking on the untainted leadership qualities of late Chief Arthur Okorie Uzoma Okowa, father of the Delta State Governor, Takeme said he was a man full of wisdom, life and a detribalized personality who have contributed so much for the growth and development of the state. 


He said men like Chief Arthur Okorie Uzoma Okowa are few in the present generation of Nigeria, adding that Delta State, Niger Delta and Nigeria at large will surely miss him. 


The Delta South PDP Chairman in his emotional statement had while praying for such painful occurrence never to occur in the first family of Delta State again, had however prayed to the Lord Almighty to grant the Governor and the Okowa's family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. 


In his words "On behalf of the entire PDP family in the Delta South Senatorial District, I wish to sympathise with our dear Governor and the entire Okowa's family on the demise of their father and our father. 


"As a people, this is truly a trying moment for us, we have lost a great figure in our state, region and country, our father is leaving at a time we needed him the more, we will surely miss him and his wealth of experience ".


It would be recalled that the octogenarian father of Governor Okowa  died in the early hours of Thursday at the age of 88.


The Governor’s father who hails from Owa-Alero in Ika North East Local Government Area of the State, reportedly died at Asaba at the early hours of today. 


As at the time of filling this report, details about the cause of his death was still skechy.
